General information

This website describes services Highline Payments provides and arranges, in general terms, for businesses deciding whether to talk to us. It is written to be useful rather than exhaustive.

None of it is an offer, a quotation, a commitment to provide any service, or advice about what a particular business should do. It is not legal, tax, accounting or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from somebody who knows your circumstances.

Where anything here appears to conflict with an agreement you have signed, the agreement governs.

Estimates, savings figures and pricing

No page on this website quotes a processing rate, and that is deliberate rather than an omission. What a business pays depends on its card mix, its average ticket, how transactions are entered and its industry, and a headline number that ignores all four is a marketing figure rather than a price.

Any figure shown as a saving, a cost or a comparison anywhere on this site — including on the savings calculator — is an estimate, generated from the values entered, for illustration. It is not a quotation, not an offer, not conditional approval and not a prediction of what your business will pay or save.

The reliable version: a review of your own recent processing statement. That is what produces a comparison you can act on, and it is why the calculator points at it rather than at a sign-up.

The savings calculator specifically

The calculator takes two numbers you supply — monthly card volume and the effective rate you pay today — and applies a general comparison model to them. It is a sizing tool.

  • The result is an estimate. It is not a guarantee of savings and no saving is promised.
  • The model is not your pricing and it is not a Highline Payments rate. No rate is shown, because no rate is quoted before a statement has been read.
  • Your actual cost depends on circumstances the calculator cannot know, and on approval.
  • Where the calculator models a cash discount program, it shows what the program does to the merchant's processing cost. It does not model whether the program suits your business, your state, your customers or your card mix — and it is not a statement that a program is available to you.

The estimate note shown with every result says the same thing, and it cannot be removed through the content system.

Services that depend on approval

Merchant accounts, equipment financing, working capital, merchant cash advances and term funding are all subject to application, underwriting and approval. Availability, amounts, costs, durations and structures differ between businesses and are established at review.

Nothing on this website is an offer of credit or of financing, and no page on it implies that any application will be approved. Where an arrangement proceeds, its terms are set out in the agreement you execute for it — see the Terms of Service for what that means in practice.

Equipment, specifications and compatibility

Product information on this website comes from manufacturer documentation and is published only where it can be supported. Even so:

  • Manufacturers change specifications, features and model availability without reference to us.
  • A product shown here may not be available at the time you ask for it.
  • Software features, integrations and third-party compatibility vary by device, by configuration and by the program an account is on. A feature existing on a device is not the same as it being enabled in a particular setup.
  • The final configuration of any equipment or service depends on the solution selected and on what a review of your setup establishes.

The reliable version: the manufacturer's own current documentation for a device, and — for what a device will actually do in your business — the specification confirmed as part of your setup.

Device images and illustrations on this site are for identification. Where a device is shown as a silhouette or a stand-in, that is what it is, and it is not a representation of the model that would be supplied.

Promotional offers and claims

Promotional offers shown on this website are temporary, conditional and limited. An offer may end before you reach it, may be restricted by category, region, number or time, and depends on eligibility and on approval. An advertised offer is not a promise to every applicant.

Where an offer states its own conditions, those conditions govern it; the general framework is in the Terms of Service. Where an offer's terms are still being finalised, the offer says so on its face — treat the figure shown with it as an illustration of what the offer concerns rather than as a commitment, and ask for the conditions in writing.

Third-party products, services and materials

Payment processing involves banks, acquirers, card networks, gateways, equipment manufacturers and software providers. Where part of a service is provided by one of those parties it is subject to that party's own terms, and this website does not vary them.

Third-party names, marks, product names, images, brochures and specifications remain the property of their respective owners. Naming a product or a provider says that it is something Highline Payments can arrange — not that it is owned by, endorsed by, or exclusively appointed to us.

Links to other websites are provided for convenience. We do not control them and are not responsible for what is on them.

Accuracy, availability and changes

We try to keep this website accurate and available, and it will sometimes be neither. Content is updated as services, products and rules change, and there will be periods when a page is out of date, and occasions when something on it is simply wrong.

Nothing here promises that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free. If you find something inaccurate, tell us — a message about a page on this site reaches a person, and a correction is more useful to us than to anybody else.

Rules referred to on this site — card network requirements, state law, disclosure obligations — change over time, and a description that was accurate when written may not be current when read. Where a rule matters to your business, confirm the position that applies to you.

Including anything you think is unclear or wrong. A message about a legal page reaches a person rather than an automated reply.
