What this device is for.
Flex 4 is a handheld that does not need a counter. It has its own thermal printer, its own 4G LTE connection and a rechargeable battery, so it works at the table, in the queue, on the kerb or on a service call — and runs the same Clover software as the stations back at base.
It ships with a wireless charging cradle, so between rounds it sits somewhere obvious and charges without being plugged in.
What it does, straight.
- Handheld, with a printer A full receipt printer in a device that fits in one hand.
- Works away from Wi-Fi 4G LTE built in, with dual-band Wi-Fi when it is in range.
- Swipe, dip, tap and wallets Credit and debit, plus NFC payments including Apple Pay and Google Pay.
- Barcode scanning A dedicated scan button and a 5 MP camera reading 1D and 2D codes.
- Wireless charging cradle included Drops onto the cradle between uses rather than being plugged in.
- Accessibility support Passive stylus, physical PIN entry aid, headphone jack and voice assistant support.

The paperwork, before you ask for it.
Published specification sheets and guides for this device. Each opens in a new tab, and the size is shown before you commit to the download.
The rooms this one is usually chosen for.
-
Pay at the table
The bill goes to the guest instead of the card going to the till.
-
Service calls and deliveries
A printer and a mobile connection in the same hand.
-
Queue busting
A second payment point opened anywhere in the room for the busy hour.
Not sure this is the one?
Say what the room is and what happens around the payment. That narrows it to two options faster than a specification sheet does.
